MEC Titan Boom™ 40-S Wins Product of the Year At 2011 IAPA Awards.
April 15, 2011
The MEC Titan Boom™ 40-S took home the Product of the Year award in the Self Propelled category at the 2011 IAPA Awards. The Awards ceremony was held in Amsterdam on April 14th and was attended by approximately 450 industry professionals and experts. The IAPA awards are jointly hosted by IPAF and Access International and are designed to promote innovation and improvements to the industry through the recognition of successes and achievements.
The Titan Boom™ was measured against the best offerings from around the world and found itself ranked as the top machine in and extremely strong and innovative field of competitors. It was commented that:
"The judges thought that this company could have established a new market category in a platform that offers the deck characteristics of a large double-deck scissor with the carrying capacity of a telehandler and the characteristics of a telescopic boom."
The Titan is a self propelled boom lift with a 22 ft x 7.5 ft platform, the reach and rotation expected from a traditional boom, and a tremendous lift capacity of 4,000 lbs. This machine continues to enjoy success as new applications for its capabilities are discovered every week. This is a machine only available from MEC and, as the judges of the IAPA Awards indicated, is leading the way in raising the expectations of what can be expected from a boom lift in terms of safety and productivity.
This victory at the IAPA Awards follows on the heels of a similar North American award in November at the 2010 LLEAP Awards and establishes the MEC Titan Boom™ as one of the best machines available in the world.
All MEC machines are manufactured in the USA at our facility in Kerman, California. Plant tours and demonstrations can be arranged through the corporate office.
