New Lightweight MEC 45-J Diesel Boom
MEC is excited to introduce the 45-J Diesel Boom – a full featured, rugged, simple and reliable 45ft straight boom with a 6ft jib. This machine is everything customers love about the MEC 60-J Diesel Boom in a 45-foot class and is compatible in both parts and service. Standard features include full-time hydrostatic 4WD with oscillating front axle, continuous 360-degree turntable rotation, solid rough terrain tires, 40% gradeability, and 90 inch platform including a 3-sided entry with a swing gate.
“After receiving customer feedback on the need for a simple 45-foot boom, we researched the features most important to our customers and designed the 45-J Diesel Boom.” Says Vice President of Engineering, Gary Crook. This machine is unique due to its low weight of 13,650 pounds; the lightest weight in its class for trucking and floor loading. Its platform has a standard capacity of 500 pounds and provides 180-degree rotation (90-degrees each side) for maximum productivity. It also contains a simple, reliable Kubota Tier 4 Final engine that does not require a laptop interface for service. The 45-J Diesel Boom offers all the same safety features as the 60-J such as the MEC lift control orientation and optional award-winning proactive platform safety system. These benefits were incorporated specifically to enhance customer value, productivity and serviceability in the 45-foot class, and we are proud to deliver a better solution.
